The opposite of what you call "trickle down", is high/higher taxes on the moderately wealthy on up.

Oops! Now you've changed it.....it was "the not very wealthy"; now its the moderately wealthy. What is wrong with you? Why are you so bound and determined to defend the wealthy?. I just don't get it.

That is what has been shown to not help the less than wealthy. Obviously higher taxes on the less than wealthy wouldn't help them either, but neither of us was talking about that idea.

We're talking about raising taxes on the wealthy....those who make a quarter of million and more per year. Those who can afford to pay more taxes.
