Trufflette, jumping in here and I may be wrong, but I think I read that Intel feels there is plenty of speed improvement in the next couple of years to be made by continuing the technology improvement that they've been doing. This is the 0.25 --> 0.18 --> 0.13 etc. micron gate width or length game. Someone correct me if I'm wrong or too easy to dismiss the importance of the copper wiring breakthrough by IBM. I know copper is also better for power consumption, but how much, and there are other ways to work on power also.
