Hugh Hewitt played the SNL skit, with voiceovers for explanation where needed. He thought the incest joke was a step too far, but it was plain that the object of satire in the skit was the New York Times, not the Palins. The joke was that when it comes to slurs on the Palins, no evidence=not disproven=good enough.

That was my take on the skit too.

It was the second successful SNL skit this year on media bias. The first was the pillow-fluffing skit on coverage of Obama in the primaries. I think this represents a cultural tipping point.
