For anyone planning to make their living in the markets, it's very helpful to have a spouse with a secure job and plenty of assets and savings because this is a very cyclical business.

It's hard for me to plan a portfolio that is 100% invested when there is so much uncertainty about where various economic sectors are going. I'd rather get some clarity and make my picks accordingly than be spread all over the place and still guessing.

If nothing else, I will not sleep as badly tonight sitting on the pile of greenbacks.
