COSTA MESA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 20, 1997--QLogic
Corp. (NASDAQ:QLGC - news), a leader in the I/O industry,
Monday announced that revenues for its second fiscal quarter
ended Sept. 28,1997, rose to a record $19.6 million, up 17.3
percent compared with the $16.7 million reported for the
same quarter a year ago.

Second quarter net income grew 158 percent to $3.0 million,
or a record 39 cents per share, compared
with the $1.2 million, or 20 cents per share, reported a
year ago.
