RE: "Gold wins only if it doesn't get approved" It's a lose lose situation. The bailout helps MBS investors only, and does nothing to curb declining real estate values as a result of defaults and foreclosures. It will not take a glut of homes off the market and it will not put construction workers back to work. It certainly will not cure deficit spending, increase the value of a dollar or lower the tax burden on citizens that are already hurting. The most it could do is extend the scope and scale of the impending crash.
