I learnt this through the school of hard knocks after the tech bubble burst. That is the only rule I apply to play the market. If you could master those two emotions you will be sleep well my friend. Look for divergencies in the market where the pendulum has swing way too much the other way. Now is one of those opportunistic times where the Wildebeest are running scared from the Lions. Exploit it to to our own advantage. I loaded up on FRE preferred the other day ,they are trading below the Common. Now here a higher class in the capital structure is actually trading lower than the Common. Part of this may be due to liqiudity issues but still does not justify the spread. Many of these will occur but you have to be on the look out for them. Slider thanks for your posts I do enjoy them.
