Stockwiz,

Many companies have self-imposed quite period before earning announcements to refrain themselves from giving out any information which may be miscontrued by the caller. In general it is a few weeks before the earnings date and may be slightly more when year end results are to be announced. I read somewhere that it is not exchange/nasdaq requirement (someone correct me if I am wrong). So I would not read too much into the CFO mentioning quite period. Regarding SCOC being a sound company, I think better days are yet to come. The statements made about future prospects will weigh in more than the actual numbers as they have many products coming out in next few quarters. I have my fingers crossed and am anxiously waiting for the report.

Regards,

JK (long on SCOC)
