Lane,

Where ya been? Missed you.

First on vacation (including in Slovakia) and later, busy catching up with work accumulated.

Tried the coconut oil I bought a while back for the first time. I had refrigerated it and had difficulty chipping a chunk of it out of the jar in which I stored it. Too much work for regular use. I expected it to taste a bit of coconut, but it didn't.

Don't refrigirate coconut oil.

I record daily calories and glycemic load. I glance at other factors like percentage of macronutrients, Omega 3/6 ratio, various vitamins and minerals, etc., but don't focus on them. So if you have some insight on why I should give glycemic index some individual attention, I'd appreciate it.

I think the simple reason is that people don't eat by standardazid servings size. Standardized serving size is what glycemic load is based on.

Glycemic Index is a measure of the "quality" of the food - which ones to avoid.

Joe
