LOL David..thanks.

I liked this one..

* In March, 1997 an abandoned, severely cannibalized 1974 Dodge Dart, which had been sitting on the side of U.S. 68 near Wilmore, Ky., since 1988, was finally removed. During that time, the state government and Jessamine county each relentlessly argued that removing it was the other's responsibility.

It doesn't say who removed the car. Maybe it was a private citizen, who had heard that in a recent phone conversation between the state and Jessamine county, Jessamine county had said, "Fine. It can sit there for another 9 years. We figure eventually we can build walls around it and start charging admission to see 'the world's longest continuously abandoned car'."
