Hi Mark:

To precise your post, I was recommending MLIN prior
to earnings, purely on a valuation basis. The earnings report
has cooled off my already lukewarm enthusiasm. It is difficult
to ignore the top line contraction. In a growth industry,
one cannot overlook back to back 0.8 book to bill figures.

The low valuation case remains partly valid, but I would
feel a lot more comfortable about my long position if I
knew what Needham saw in MLIN. To reiterate his/her
buy rating after the latest earnings report, the
MLIN analyst must either:

a) be very courageous

b) be very foolish

c) know something which is not out yet.

I choose option c).
