I would like the $760 billion to be used in bankruptcy courts. When all these financial institutions declare bankruptcy, there will be plenty of need for the $760 billion to make good the FDIC insured deposits. Also, there will be a need to restructure mortgages to keep people in their homes.

Also, I would not pass any bailout legislation until after the election. This will give all parties time to craft legislation that might have a chance to succeed and will remove the motivation to try to put lipstick on the pig before the election.
