this could be mccain's biggest mistake. hope its not .


Both candidates have been rendered irrelevant by this week's events. McCain heard the gunfire and is running towards the front. Obama has been forced to join him, plainly against his will. If McCain achieves something, which the GOP & President Bush will very want to help him do, he will be perceived as a leader who acted in an emergency. Obama will be perceived as weak, buffeted by events.

If Harry Reid thought McCain was making a mistake, he would have welcomed his presence.

As for the polls, I trust Rasmussen more than the others, as it has done better in previous cycles. They say it's still close, Obama up by 1 or 2.
