Sure, why not, the Treasury will pay mark-to-maturity prices on them if they fail or get in trouble or if Paulson wants to because he likes The Sage as there is no oversight at all, not even for conflicts of interest, and no recourse to the courts, so, as you can tell, I think the deal sucks big time.
