Don't really know what to make of this list. Some obvious names and some slightly mysterious ones. For example, my default short when I want to hedge the market as a whole is IWM - suddenly there are no shares available to short, although historically there was never any problem shorting it before. I suppose I could move to options to create synthetic shorts, but I note that puts seem more expensive across the board and bid/ask spreads have widened. So no easy answer there either. Peter
