Let's talk about Lincoln. There were four candidates in the 1860 election. Lincoln, Bell, Breckinridge and Douglas. Lincoln had years in the state legislature and two years in congress. Breckinridge was 35 years old....Bell had an undistinguished career in government. Douglas and Lincoln had gone head to head two years before for the Senate. People saw them next to each other, read everything they said and wrote....Had a chance to compare their ideas and watch them debate against each other. Lincoln wrote extensively and his ideas were widely published before 1860.

Now, are you seriously trying to tell me that Palin is somehow like an Alaskan Lincoln?

Lincoln had national standing before he was selected as the dark horse candidate by the republicans.

You know, he had to RUN for the office, nut just be selected by one other person.

let's see Sarah debate. Let's see Sarah do a press conference.

Lincoln? Really?
