Welcome back, Naomi. The Houston GITs Trio is now present and accounted for. :)

It seems that each day brings another traffic signal or two back in operation or policemen directing traffic at the busier intersections with no power, so it's getting easier to get around. Also, the supermarkets are getting closer to business as usual each day. The Randall's I frequent had all its frozen food restocked yesterday, including several sections that it had reassigned for bags of ice.

Shortly after Ike, I saw an article in the Chronicle about the significant loss of trees at the beautiful Bayou Bend gardens. Also my church in the Memorial area suffered roof damage and water damage in the worship center that possibly will require as much as a year to repair. It seems to me that Ike was more destructive than Alicia 25 years ago.

Glad you survived and are back online.
