Also there's to consider that other companies that don't have their financing set up already for expansion of fab space/equipment upgrades will be hard pressed to get it done in the current climate - and quite possibly 2 to 3 years out.

That should play into Spansion's hands, as long as demand doesn't fall off a cliff, which I consider unlikely since most of the finished products are sold outside the US.
