Wuhan Xinxin Launches 300 mm Production Line

The fab is producing 65 nm MirrorBit NOR flash now, and next year plans to begin producing 43 nm Spansion MirrorBit Ornand2 flash products. In 2007, Spansion signed on with SMIC as a foundry partner. SMIC President Richard Chang said plans call for the Wuhan fab to move from 65 nm now to 43 nm next year, and then to 32, 25 and 18 nm products. Now, Wuhan Xinxin is processing 3000 wpm with plans to increase to 12,000 wpm next year.
