Looks like we are going to get a package. Paulson and Bernanke want to finesse their way out of this problem. We know Bernanke's feelings on deflation vs inflation. He has asked Congress for the helicopters. Found this post on Mish's board comparing this financial debacle to Rome's loss at Cannae. The numbers attributed to derivatives is staggering. Message 24998779 Rome did recover with a vengeance.
