Yes, that thought ran across my mind as soon as she finished her speech the night she accepted the nomination.

And what's really a shame (rather, one of the many shames) is that this woman is no friend to our right to free speech, no friend to the rights of women, and frighteningly cavalier about her own children. She made a statement by giving birth in her forties to a child with special needs (a decision worth applause, if she had stepped up) then went back to work three days later.

I hope her husband, and whatever paid help she has gotten to raise her infant son with Down syndrome, have the skill and compassion to give him the guidance he needs.

Blech. I'm done with her.
