It seems that a tentative deal that has been reached is pretty much very close to the original Paulson plan.

A lot of expensive champagne will be flowing on Wall Street if this plan is passed. They will reap huge profits off this plan.

- Pay limits apply only to severance packages of fired executives of bankrupt firms. There are no limits on salaries and bonuses of executives.

- stock warrants instead of equity, they can set conversion prices so high as to eliminate their value completely

- the plan is made to look like it is only $250B in the beginning, but in reality the other $450 is going to be set on autopilot, since the bar for any potential repeal is set so high, that there is no chance Congress would ever be able to withhold the funds.
