Those are state government level actions, not some tiny town council somewhere. The Christians generally want to impose more universal, federal or truly state-wide laws on everyone. The one thing this is accurate on is abortion. But the same is true of both sides on that issue. Usually it's just to prove they can (such as anti-gay proposals) What anti-gay proposals? Gay sex is legal in every state of the union and there is no move to make it illegal. Are you talking about occasional busts of gays having sex in parks or public restrooms? I know gays want that type of arrest to be stopped. But public sex acts are a public nuisance and legitimately suppressed.
