Harris Stratex Networks Joins WiMAX Forum(R)

(Nasdaq: HSTX), the leading independent supplier of turnkey wireless transmission solutions, today announced that it has received principal member status with the WiMAX Forum. The WiMAX Forum is an industry-led non-profit organization committed to promoting and certifying interoperable WiMAX(TM) products.

Harris Stratex offers an end-to-end network solution that comprises comprehensive services and network solutions designed especially for mobile operators in developing countries who are seeking to augment their mobile cellular services with fixed, nomadic and mobile broadband services with WiMAX. The solution includes Harris Stratex's 7000 Series(TM) WiMAX platform, which supports both IEEE 802.16e-2005 and 802.16d-2004 WiMAX standards for both mobile and fixed subscriber applications respectively.
