I have nothing to prove here. I pick the issues I feel are worthy of my comment and leave the rest. I don't consider Obama's religious membership or religious outlook to be an issue at all. In fact, I would consider it to his credit if he did declare himself to be a Muslim. There is no doubt in my mind that he is a Christian albeit a little estranged in his community affiliations at the moment, and quite understandably so. He has handled the controversies that have cropped up during his campaign admirably.

The only pertinent question I have in this area is regarding the kind of posture he would take with terrorists and how competently he would be able to deal with major conflict, which frankly seems a little shaky.

With regards to longnshort's provocations ... ya can't be serious. Why would anybody care about that stuff or even take it serious. The fact that you do explains a lot about why you've treated Palin the way you have, which has been disgraceful.

I am a person of conscience, and I speak only for myself. I base my view points on sound principle as it applies to practical circumstance and to situations subject to change. This, I believe, requires at a minimum an open mind, reason, a healthy amount of skepticism, willingness to consider all sides, a regard for decency, justice, and common sense.
