What's sort of weird about this is the constituency for the folks being bailed out is the Republicans. You would think (and the Bush admin is strongly in the camp) that the Reps would be all over this as a great thing... essentially a huge subsidy for their WS buddies. And the Dems would be against it. I guess it comes down to what's best for the country. And it feels really uncomfortable to be on the side of the Bush admin. I'm not smart enough to figure if this is a good thing... but it does become suspect when Bush and all support it.
