The vote went down today because 95 democrats voted against pelosi. The democrats could have passed this by membership alone. They are the clear majority in the House.

That's very true, but that's not how the MSM will spin it. I can see the headlines..

"Markets crash as GOP House members vote 2 to 1 against financial rescue package" (They'll drop the "Wall Street bailout" language when it suits their agenda)

Pelosi and Dodd and Frank, et al., make me want to puke with their sanctimonious bilge, as they're the ones primarily responsible for this fiscal mess, but they're on the right side of the spin machine as the consequences bear bitter fruit...
