I can buy that this is a long term, say 20 year, bear market in which case it isn't anything more than...a bear market.

We've already put hundreds of billions into this thing from BS, AIG, Fannie and Freddie, Wachovia, MMFs, car companies, etc. There's also $600 billion in liquidity from central banks.

The media keeps acting like it's $700 billion or nothing while, in the meantime, we're increasingly on the hook for more than that.
