the pundits are saying the republicans came up with that lame Pelosi excuse because they ignored Paulson's warnings and played with fire voting against the bill ... when they saw the market down 600 pts within 30 seconds of the vote they had to come up with something.

This wall street drop really punked the republicans, it really did. Yes Boener and Blunt were playing to their consituency but it was their ignorant constituency. Now the chamber of commerce is going to step up.
