How A Clinton-Era Rule Rewrite Made Subprime Crisis Inevitable
suddenly the American Dream turns into a nightmare...LOL
a couple days ago I picked up a TV commercial from Chesapeak on how transportation/mobility was "a basic of the American way of life." - a basic way of the American way of life...I repeat - what about the rest of the world beside the US - I suppose they do not count.
To me it basically implied the "American way of life" is OK by blowing/wasting enormous amount of crude through the exhaust muffler of your car and let's drill for more to keep it up.
GM, Ford and Crysler all want money to fund future factories to compete with (for example) Volkswagen which will unleash a 69 miles per gallon diesel hybrid.
GM and Ford need $$$ for retooling factories from SUV/light trucks to build more fuel efficient cars.
Who's fault?
because socialist Europeans increased tax on gasoline forcing European automakers to build fuel efficient cars?
