Seems to me that there are three camps:

1) Those who want some sort of bailout plan to prevent a crisis.

2) Those who are against the bailout plan because it amounts to socialism.

3) Those who are against the bailout plan because it amounts to rewarding the rich.

You can stick the Republicans in group 2 and the Democrats in group 3, but there's no stereotyping those in group 1, especially when the House leadership, the majority of House Democrats, and Bush and Paulson are all in it.


So you don't think there is any wheeling and dealing with who gets what in this deal? No lobbyists allowed? No consideration of campaign contributions from the players?
