Nshul: you must remember that I am in and out of 100% of all my trades by the end of each day. My stops are tight because my success depends on my ability to call very short term reversals in stocks throughout the day. If a stock moves against me quickly after I enter the the trade, I am most likely to exit before it hits my stop loss. I t is simply a numbers game in terms of getting trades where I call the direction correctly. My stop loss exists to get me out if the stock falls through the floor before I can react or become emotional about the potential loss.
