I think that's a tough sell to the Windows Vista crowd. I was the biggest TiVo fan until I got a Windows Media Center PC. Now, I don't see a compelling reason to switch to TiVo software, even if there weren't the matter of the extra $99 more per year. Granted, there are some benefits to existing Series 2/3 users, who could share recorded shows over the network, but my S1 DirecTiVo offers no such benefits. IMO, TiVo would have been better served focusing on the Mac market, where there's no free alternative.
