If people were living within their means they would be able to ride this out. I really have no sympathy for those that are driven by consumerism and debt.

For $10,000,000 the gov't could pay for a TV series based on Austrian economics and run it for 1/2 hour a night for 2 weeks straight on prime time. Do that 3 months in a row and then let the chips fall where they may. If any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant(out of context but not inappropriate).
