one detail, while indium is not invented by chinese, it is just about monopolized by them, more so than oil is controlled by any single political entity

also, indium is needed for LCDs, and so if needed by solar photo voltaic, cost will invariably rise, and than rise some more, to be 'reverse' competitive with other energy sources, i guess

however, the good news, polysilicon based solar pv is already good enough, and will be more so as c-si cost drops with scale
