I agree. I don't think churches should be tax exempt at all.
At a minimum though the side projects and money making schemes of the churches should not be tax exempt. There are churches here who offer all kinds of services, and they do it for a fee in direct competition with tax paying private businesses.

You have it backwards, you seem to want the churches to get a tax exemption for anything they do whether it is holding services or not.
