Not sure I understand completely what you're asking Tom, but I woke up hearing Vince Farrell on CNN saying that the one thing he really fears is the collapse of a major Japanese bank. This, he thinks, would hurt not just Japan but the whole world. What I once in my naivete blew off as not even a mini-Mexico in Thailand, is creating shock-waves ie.in Hong Kong now, that soon will test the mettle of our market as well. I still believe the deepest underlying current at work in the western markets is extremely positive, and that this will continue to dominate and lead other markets up unless this Asian sickness spreads, so your focus on Japan is savvy and to the point. fred
