If you use TJ's PSR indicator as a time to buy, adding to your position at $12 might not be a bad idea. This would yield a PSR of about 1.97, which is below CY's reported median PSR of 2.23, per TJ's famous "Thinking About Cypress Stock." Per this report, buying at a PSR of 2.0 and selling at a PSR of 2.4 yielded about a 20% return within a short time frame. The catch, of course, is getting the PSR up to 2.4.

As a note of interest, I saw that Friess Associates (who manage the Brandywine funds) picked up 2.9 million shares of CY at some point in 2Q 97, while Merrill Lynch increased their holdings by 2.2 million shares during the same period. Wonder if Friess and ML dumped their shares as CY fell from $18 per share level?? Bets, anyone??
