LOL- I like that wading pool analogy. I think Japan's economic bubble was considerably larger than the U.S. Wasn't one square block of Toyko valued higher than the whole state of California at the most insane point? And the avg. P/E ratio for the Nikkei was in the 80's. Hopefully that means we can get out of this a little easier and quicker than them, but who TH knows, really?? Gold miners are getting whacked again today. Must be some margin calls and/or deleveraging going on there.. XAU to Gold ratio is back at a historic low.
