How have the democrats always managed Fannie/Freddie?

FNM is owned by shareholders and managed by officers. Congress has oversight of FNM, and until Jan 2007, republicans controlled congress. The oversight was not there at the corporate level nor the government level, that is clear. I miss your point because structurally, it seems impossible to me.

Barney Frank was wrong in his comments regarding FNM and should have simply said so.

Is it another coincidence that Dems have always managed Fannie/Freddie.
