I'm not a lgnd expert however, I read BioCentury. They sent out an Extra this morning calling the Ligand-Lilly deal a Blockbuster.

This deal will get the job done to get these early lgnd compounds commercialized and remember IMO it can be renegotiated (after some success) to lgnd's benefit at a later date.
