Don't buy the secuitized paper. Go to the mortgage servicers and buy up a group of mortgages which the paper represents. You can calculate the value from default rates, recovery rates and your expected ROI after average payout time. Give the money to the trustee/mortgage servicer. He can distribute it to the paper holders according to his trust instruments.
This will be probably around 60cents on the dollar. All the paper then gets paid immediately according to its trust terms.
