Well, Bush hasn't been great shakes with the housing/credit crisis. Unfortunately, he had no choice - he couldn't get the dems to play ball on regulating FNM/FRE and the issue came up too fast to react for govt. Now, this is probably a wrong idea - but it is Paulsen's idea who is supposed to be an expert (dem one too). And there isn't enough time. So Bush might be making a mistake.

I don't think the govt at this point needs to do more for the people - it should just shrink and let people out of govt's control...
