Either you missed my posts or you are once again not thinking before you type.

There are many parallels between Bush and Nixon, including the economy and the high price of oil. Meanwhile, consider the parallels between Obama and Carter:

- Paul Volcker is backing Obama.
- Obama's energy policy is almost exactly the same as Carter's, with the addition of global warming.
- Appeasement over anything that remotely hints of military action.
- Some of the highest tax rates since the 1950s.

Carter inherited a lot of the mess from Nixon and tried to administer some bitter medicine. Only problem is that he really came across as a nag and a really ineffectual leader. That and the fact that his policies probably went too far in crippling America.
