Meanwhile, consider the parallels between Obama and Carter: - Paul Volcker is backing Obama. - Obama's energy policy is almost exactly the same as Carter's, with the addition of global warming. - Appeasement over anything that remotely hints of military action. - Some of the highest tax rates since the 1950s. Carter inherited a lot of the mess from Nixon and tried to administer some bitter medicine. Only problem is that he really came across as a nag and a really ineffectual leader. That and the fact that his policies probably went too far in crippling America. Tenchusatsu
