As predicted for years, it takes a real financial crisis to bring these issues to the public eye. Unfortunately, that is happening now. Watch as we see the mainstream financial press and our politicians gradually jump aboard the call for regulation.

It's not just the immediate issues of this subject, but we here have been telling it like it is, that CEO's have been able to run rampant in all areas of the market. In the pinks, they outright lie, on the NYSE they get $100 million in pay packages for performance that would be no better than what an MBA or law student would do right out of school.

Unlike the self-styled "crusading cyber sleupss" our comments have not been one-sided. It's hypocritical to so quickly condemn all companies, but look the other way because it involves hedge funds or those who short. There's plenty of blame to go around, but start with our regulators, or perhaps our "lack of regulators" should be the new title.

Letting hedge funds and money pools sabotage the system with counterfeit shares is not the solution to mismanagement and lack of regulation and protection of the public. The Batman defense" used by the notorious short seller who used purloined FBI data and who extorted shares from CEO's in exchange for calling off the shorts and "Enterprise crew" fails to win any supporters outside their immediate circle.
