I hate to post anything that appears to defend Cowpland, but is it really so difficult to believe that he didn't know what was going on at the company when he sold?

It's the most believable thing I've ever heard him utter: "Well, no, I had no idea how sales were going or how corporate finances were going or how revenue was going... who do I look like, Bill Gates?"
