Well... who sold all the puts out there, and can they get their money back? <G> VIX is a very tempting short here, but I am scared, I won't lie. LEH "only" was a counterparty to 24 billion (real value) in derivatives. The multiplier is huge and unknown. The mess is not yet sorted out, and CAN potentially result in a domino effect. Remember the ABX index last year? <g> I have long said that the mess will detonate when it outgrows the Fed. We are there.
