Re: You are right, but the fed creates money by creatng debt and the consumer can't absorb more debt. It seems to me for that to work they have to get more money into the hands of consumers and I guess it will be more rebates. Exactly! FICA Tax Holiday is what we need. For both businesses and consumers. Predefined to be at least 2 years to give businesses and consumers confidence that they're in for long term stability. Retroactive to the beginning of the year to send a burst of cash to companies with significant payrolls, that need cash now to make those payrolls.
