Dr Davis said that K2 is very limited in a veggie diet, and is needed for bone and cardio health. Check the header for a K2 article.

Anybody who wants to add K-2 will find this the best buy I know of.

Invite Health - invitehealth.com

Vitamin K2 - (Menaquinone-4) - 500 mcg
Vitamin K2 - (Menaquinone-7) - 500 mcg
Vitamin K1 - (Philoquinone) - 1000 mcg

Cost is $15.96 for 90 capsules, and with shipping it's 19.91 per bottle of 90. That's 18 cents per capsule. So a 1000mg dose would cost 36 cents a day, while a 5000mg dose would be 90 cents. Not bad.

Recommended dose is 1000 to 5000 mcq a day.

Dr Davis says:

"K1 is not a problem. It can be a problem, as can K2, in people taking warfarin (Coumadin).

Otherwise, taking K1 is no more dangerous than eating broccoli. Supplemental K1 will not cause blood clotting, though K1 deficiency can cause bleeding."

EDIT: Carlson has a 60 capsule bottle of K2 with 5000mcp a capsule for about 48 cents a piece at Vitamin Life.
