Alternatively Tosh can take a stake (newly issued shares?) to get semipermanent access to Spansion's IP. OTOH Tosh doesn't move on SanDisk much either despite Samsung's hostile bid even though they're pretty deeply involved with them already. Still Tosh getting access to Spansion's IP will solidify their involvement with SanDisk for 3D SONOS (Spansion's got quite a good range of patents for SONOS based ORNAND2). Just guessing. R
